an impact absorbing material, d30 is a staple in ride concepts shoes

We partner with D30 to incorporate impact absorbing materials in our insoles and medial collar protection throughout much of our line. This soft, lightweight and flexible material is ideal for footwear – reducing feedback from the trail and harsh impacts through our Zone Technology insoles and adding crank protection in our premium gravity and enduro models.

Shoe needs some work.. painful tight fit (too narrow) and no functional D30

First of all, you guys are on the right track with this shoe. Few comments -- 1 the shoe is too narrow at the MTP joints. I have regular width feet and it was too tight. I did get them to stretch a bit by wearing them around the house for days with extra thick merino wool socks, but it is still tight and painful when i switch back to regular thin socks. 2nd comment, why advertise D30 zones in the insoles? The amount that is used or the way the material is made for this insole.. is no better than any cheap 1.5mm of foam. I have D30 body armor (knee pads) and the amount of/implementation of the D30 in this insole.. it is false advertising to even mention it. Completely nonfunctional. I can't believe D30 have their name on this. I stand by this comment and would appreciate a response from Ride Concepts. Either way the main issue is with the too-narrow fitment at the MTP joints.

Cool and comfy shoe

Very awesome shoe. The sizing on these is a little strange. I wear a 10.5 but have to do 11.5 with this brand. I have a narrow pretty standard foot and This was the only one out of many ride concepts that fit me. It tried some of the other shoes and the toe box is so tight. I am not sure I will use these for riding but they looked cool so I got them anyway. They feel like slippers and a really comfy and cozy. Great for standing at working and walking. I like these.

Great shoe

Everything is perfect on them. And only reason I took off one star is because I have to break them in. Right now they are hurting my feet even though I got half a size up, and on the left shoe the knuckle bone on my big toe digs in so I had to put some thing in the shoe for a couple nights to widen it, they kind of made my feet numb ..I’m sure once they break in they’ll be fine. Very grippy and I feel a lot more secure with these well-made shoes

New Favorite Brand!

These are made with a wider toe box (and therefore wider overall footprint), but shallow mid-foot. As someone who's suffered w fitting shoes all my life, due to relatively wide forefoot - I love these shoes. The fit, quality and finish are top notch. They are a bit on the heavy and bulky side, but they give such a sense of security. The rubber has just the right amount of grip. Not a huge fan of the hole pattern on the soles, because it tends to settle into a certain position into flat pedals w pins. But it's not bothersome once you get used to it. Very comfortable and stylish off the bike, IMO. Two thumbs up, highly recommend. I'm about to get other pairs for my DH riding. Hope they make some additional clipless options soon. Rock on RC!
