While the ClipGrip rubber outsole and reverse-hexagon tread provide excellent traction for short hike-a-bike sections, these shoes are engineered with a stiff RC PowerDrive nylon shank specifically for cycling performance. They are not recommended for casual walking or extended hiking, as the rigidity is designed to maximize power transfer to the pedals rather than comfort during walking.
