As the burliest shoe in the Ride Concepts line, TNT meets the toughest demands of hard riding and trail building

TNT is our bomb-proof, asymmetrical mid-top flat developed with a focus on gravity riding and trail building. Using a microfiber upper for durability and performance in all conditions, D3O® impact protection is placed in the medial collar to ward off unexpected crank-side encounters while a robust, custom-molded toe cap and heel run defense fore to aft. The MAX GRIP rubber outsole features a recessed area on the toe and heel for traction while hiking and digging. The hook and loop Powerstrap tops it off for a final sense of security, whether conquering a technical descent or building a new send is on the day’s agenda.

Product Performance

Different terrain and riding styles can benefit from specific shoe features. Grip, protection, weight, and breathability are all factors that can affect your on-bike experience.

Level 4 Flex provides a strong power transfer to the pedal, support for long descents, and enough compliance for a secure pedal connection while offering a small amount of trail feedback.

This Last is designed for a higher instep and generally wider foot. There is more room inside the shoe to reduce awkward pressure-points and increase comfort for sustained saddle-time.

Technology

Our softest, most grippy compound, MAX GRIP is dialed specifically for the utmost pedal contact and feel but also upholding a high level of durability. Downright tacky and responsive, it is the ideal instrument for the most demanding days on the bike.

an impact absorbing material, d30 is a staple in ride concepts shoes

We partner with D30 to incorporate impact absorbing materials in our insoles and medial collar protection throughout much of our line. This soft, lightweight and flexible material is ideal for footwear – reducing feedback from the trail and harsh impacts through our Zone Technology insoles and adding crank protection in our premium gravity and enduro models.

Fit: True To Size

Always totally satisfied with my ride concepts, it’s still winter where I’m at in NH so I haven’t been able to fully test them out but as always they are the most comfortable bike shoe I’ve had!!

Fit: True To Size
TNT

Fit more snugly at forefoot, around the area at the base of the tongue and lowest eyelets are. Tighter there than Impacts and Impact Pros, but TNT have a more square toe box so the toes aren't smashed. I may try a half size up to see how that feels.
No hot spots or pressure points.
Grip is a little less than that of the Impacts, but not lacking. Just not stuck as firmly.
Fit matches regular athletic shoe size fairly closely. Typical fit for me is 11/11.5 and the 11 fits comfortably enough. Ride Concepts size chart put me at a 9.5 so I must have done my measuring wrong.
TNT is listed as a high volume fit. Any less and it would have been too narrow for me. I would like a toe box sized like a Keen Targhee but doubt there is much market for that fit.

The Best

I've ridden all the other brands out there and nothing comes close to RC.

The comfort: Exceptional, absolutely no hot spots or foot soreness no matter the mileage. You can hit big gaps or huck to flat in these bad boys and your feet are good to go.

The grip: Outstanding, I ride a lot of high-speed technical rocky stuff and a good shoe is the difference between a good time and eating sh*t, these things grip like velcro in any terrain.

The protection: Top-notch, the TNT's feel like armor for your feet without feeling heavy or sacrificing pedal feel.

The Durability: I've put close to 1000 miles on these and they still have a lot of life in them.

Just buy a pair and make your feet happy.

Worth the extra money over the Wildcat

I just retired a pair of Wildcats that I used for about a year and a half. I liked them, but so far I feel like the TNT is very similar but just all around better. It is more comfortable, seems to have better padding, and definitely has more grip. I'll be interested to see how long the soles last on the TNTs with them seeming to be softer.
