Product Performance

Different terrain and riding styles can benefit from specific shoe features. Grip, protection, weight, and breathability are all factors that can affect your on-bike experience.

Level 4 Flex provides a strong power transfer to the pedal, support for long descents, and enough compliance for a secure pedal connection while offering a small amount of trail feedback.

Our medium volume last can accommodate a vast range of foot shapes, but an average volume foot will be most comfortable. Larger feet will be comfortable sizing a half-size up.
Perfect fit, comfortable, look cool
Great shoes use them for riding my gravel bike…very comfortable..great grip on my pedals..
But two pairs for my growing teenage kids and they love these shoes for going on rides with me. They're so durable that they can be used as their summer shoes for adventure / outdoors.
Once the flex point between the toes and the rest of the foot broke it they felt great. It’s my first pair of shoes with a boa and I love it. I didn’t have to tuck the end of my laces or worry about anything getting caught on my cranks. Just the right amount of support. Highly recommended!
After 3 years, my Livewires were getting a little worn. I ride clipless on my gravel bike with boa based shoes (not RC) but, for MTB, I ride flats. There are a few Flat Boa options out there but nothing in nearby stores. So, for ordering I felt a little safer fit was to stick with RC and the Tallac reviews were generally positive. After 3 weeks, I am pretty happy with them. The build quality seems really good. There are stiffer than the livewires but not so stiff that you completely lose feel for the pedal. While I thought that they would feel a little narrower than the livewires from a volume perspective, the toe box is very roomy which is good for my wider feet. They are very comfortable (just like the livewires) but I really enjoy the ease and adjustability of the boa. Quick adjustments during a ride are just a few dial clicks away!
