I think Ride Concepts nailed the balance of stiffness with the Accomplice Clip, never too stiff to walk, and maintaining power transfer to the pedals.

The latest crop of shoes, including the new Hellion Clip BOA, looks great and has been well-received by testers and consumers alike. I’ve certainly been impressed by these new shoes, and I think they are a great option for the right rider.

The Hellion Elite BOAs break the mold in that department. They’re plush and well padded. In my experience riding in them in the PNW Summer so far, they don’t run too hot.

They walk comfortably and look great doing it too. If you are in the market for great pedalling, high performance shoes that don't belong in a geriatric home or the local XC circuit, look no further.

The Accomplice is a reasonably priced new model from Ride Concepts, that looks good, performs well, and is super comfortable with a sock-like “slip-tongue” design.

If you're looking for a comfy, high-mileage flat pedal shoe, though, these could be the ticket.
