Such a game changer. The right pair of shoes. These are that! Feet are planted and are not sore the next day!

Best Trail/Enduro shoe I've worn.

Out of the box I could tell the fit was true to size and the finish was top notch. After sliding it on the shoe was comfortable, fit great and had great support. The BOA allowed for easy micro adjustment on and off the bike and the D30 equipped insole was a nice suprise on hard landings and long rides. The shoe offered plenty of grip but not too much allowing for easy adjustments on the pedal while riding. All in all the best shoe I have worn. 👍🏼

A "DO IT ALL" Shoe

I've been wearing my Tallac Boa Shoes for a solid 4 weeks now and I found this shoe to fit well in a lot of categories. I love the traction that the heal and toe provide for hiking up loose dry terrain or even wet sloppy conditions. Unlike a few flat shoes I've owned prior. The versatility of being able to comfortably wear them while I work and then go for a ride after work without having to pack a separate pair of shoes is fantastic! I love these shoes and will keep these in the shoe collection for a long time!

COMFY and TOUGH AF

I usually like to do 1year review of shoes, but I'm quite impressed with these thus far and to say I've put them through the ringer is an understatement. This is my third pair of RC, first pair was their free ride high top (I forgot the name) and second is the Vice low top.

These are by far (for the riding I do; Gravity, enduro, DH, All mountain) the best shoes I've owned, both in terms of comfort, quality and durability.
I rode these for a few weeks locally before taking them out to Oakridge to participate in a Trans Cascadia dig in Oakridge, OR. For that dig, these were my trail digging shoes and riding shoes, they got soaking wet, caked with mud, and still performed better than anyone could expect from a riding shoe. Don't get me wrong, this was a HORRIBLE choice on my part, wear proper boots for this kind of trail work. My point is these held up in those harsh conditions. While I foolishly tried to dry them near a fire pit, I did melt the top toe box on my left shoe, which is a bummer, but completely on me. These still hold up and work great.

Most recently, I went to Downieville, CA, which if you've ever been is rough on ALL gear. I of course crashed and shockingly saw my left boa had come off my shoe. Immediately I was worried I destroyed the boa and could no longer tighten my shoes, thankfully RC's & Boa's designers are smart af and it simply clicked right back onto my shoe. Shortly after, I swear I don't crash this much, I smashed my foot/big toe straight on and into a huge rock at mach chicken! While yes, it hurt like crazy, thankfully this shoe absorbed a huge bit of the impact and literally saved my toe.
I cannot express how much this shoe prevented me from losing my toe.

Lastly, as a riding shoe goes, these are super comfy right out of the box. I'm a size 13 and quite flat footed, so the heel is a nice touch. The grip I'd say is near un-matched. These shoes are just great, plain and simple.
Needless to say, if you're considering buying these as your next do it all riding shoe, don't... just buy them.

Keep doing you RC!

I really like these shoes

I have been enjoying my Tallac BOA shoes for about 6 weeks now. Prior to that I was using Freeriders. I was looking to get a shoe with more support and was also attracted to the Tallac's BOA system plus D30 insole. The Tallac is firmer than the Freerider but not stiff. The fit is good and secure. I set the position of the Velcro strap early on and take the shoe on and off without moving it. With BOA, on/off is quick and easy, with no fussing the tuck laces out of the way. Maybe putting a shoe on and off is not a super big deal, but I sure am liking the new convenience. That plus simple adjustment at any time during my ride. The outsole grip is very good, no slipping for me at all, plus the toe and heel grip pattern are extra nice when a walk on inclined terrain is necessary. I used to end my rides with a bit of debris in my shoes to dump out. That doesn't happen with Tallac; they stay clean inside. The shoe seems well built and I'm happy with my purchase.
