Fit: Small
Solid, comfortable, runs small

Bought pairs of these for both my daughter (size 8) and me (size 9). They are a high quality shoe, and feel very solid when on. Sole is stiff (much stiffer than my Five Tens), which should lend to more control when on the pedals. They take a little more time to ge into/lace, since they are a mid-top, but that just lends to the extra stability. Hoping RC continues to make mid-top flats, as I have very weak ankles and need the extra support. One thing— they run quite small. My toes were right at the end of the shoe, and riding would have been tortuous. My daughter had the same issue. She tried on my shoe— a full size larger— and she found them a good fit. I exchanged mine for a full size larger, and they felt a little bit too big, but with slightly thicker socks (I wear compression socks when riding) they should be just fine. Wondering if the last used by RC results in this small fit with all their shoes, or just certain models? Great shoe overall, pleased with the purchase!

The search for an awesome riding shoe has ended!

When you find a shoe that really works with your riding style you tend to stick with it. After three rides I think the Women's Skyline will be such a shoe. I finally opened the last box of my favorite riding shoe that I had stockpiled when I learned the shoe was discontinued in 2013. I've looked at so many other shoes but they all seem to be designed by people who think that women don't attack the hills like the boys or only ride on nice groomed paths. Frustrating. I ran across a review of the Skyline and Ride Concepts as a company and I am so very glad I did! The asymmetric medial collar is something I never fully appreciated until I rode with a shoe that didn't have this feature and ended up with a severely sprained ankle. Ride Concepts is the only company that I have found that is making a women's shoe with this feature. Overall the shoe construction is not clunky, not hot (even at 110 degrees), has great support, provides protection for toe and heel for inevitable hike-a-bike. So far I have found this shoe to be comfortable on 3 hour rides and will certainly be testing it's all day comfort as I complete the entire Arizona Trail. The only suggestion I have is for ladies to order the next size up. I exchanged my first pair for a half size up but Ride Concepts made that exchange easy and toes are really glad I did.
